I hope that everyone has a fantastic Christmas and holiday season.

If you need some help celebrating, take a look at our Bacon Carols!

I found a ham recipe that I think looks delicious!

Baked Ham with Honey-Apricot Glaze

Ingredients:

10-14 pound fully cooked smoked ham, spiral sliced
1 cup honey
1 6-oz can orange juice concentrate, thaw
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup apricot jam
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Cooking Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Stir together remaining ingredients in medium bowl; set aside. Bake ham for 30 minutes; pour glaze over ham and continue to bake until ham is heated through, about a total of 2 1/2 hours. (about 15-18 minutes per pound.)

Serves 20-25.

Bacon Update!

by Bethany on December 1, 2010

A new product has hit the market.  While I’m accepting of all things pork, I’m not sure I would try this.

Would you?

Bacon Pop.  Oh yes, bacon flavored vodka has been out for sometime and a new level of bacon flavored drinks has been reached by Jones Soda.

I’m not sure yet what I think about carbonated bacon?  What about you?  Willing to give it a try?

June 19, 2009

Dad. The grill master. Mr. Marinade. Surely your man of the house loves pork as much as we do. So do him a favor – forgo the tie and electric nose trimmer this year. We suggest you light his fire with one of these Porktastic gestures that says, “I know, I know, it’s about you…but [...]
