What is Porktastic?
Porktastic is a state of mind, a destination, a trip worth taking.
Porktastic is a community comprised of pork lovers.
It is a sounding board for all things divine about swine.
It is pork for the average Joe and the connoisseur alike.
It is about insight, fun and games…all wrapped in bacon.
In short, it is a whole hog celebration. Online. 24/7.

Author Bios
Jess:
I am currently a student at THE Ohio State University and the summer intern for the Ohio Pork Producers Council. Growing up in a family of 8 kids, I learned how to cook meals that appeal to many different tastes. My family dynamics gave me a passion for making meals that are simple, versatile, and delicious to all sorts of people. Pork always made a great family dinner with it being nutritious, tasty, and cost effective! With these thoughts in mind, I look forward to promoting the Porktastic state of mind and taking you on this great adventure with me!
Just Jamie:
Jamie joined the Ohio Pork Producers Council (OPPC) as the director of communications in March, 2010. She graduated from THE Ohio State University with a bachelor’s in agricultural communications and a minor in animal sciences. Jamie grew up being active in both 4-H and FFA and helping on her family’s farm in Knox County. She left OPPC so that she could spend more time at home cooking pork.
Bethany:
I am currently a student at The Ohio State University and an intern for the Ohio Pork Producers Council. While my current home is in Columbus, my heart is always back home on the farm. I grew up helping raise dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, pigs, horses, turkeys, and three brothers! As you can probably tell, our house was always busy but I wouldn’t have grown up any other way.
Since I can only contact my culinary genius, my mom, by phone since I left the nest, I believe in keeping my recipes easy and made from simple ingredients that are easy to find. Unfortunately for you, I am going to take you on this journey with me as I try to feed myself and my roommate…. you’ve been warned!
